F is for Family

F is for Family and the other choice word I had when I was trying to get the timer set on the camera to get this picture.

If it has wheels...

If it has wheels, Cameron probably got it for Christmas. Santa brought her a Dora bike and her Uncle Clay gave her Dora roller skates and Mimi and Big Guy got her a new wagon. The funny part is that she wore the helmet long after she stopped her rolling activities. She looked like the "special" kid.

Happy Halloween, Argh!!!!

I thought that as girly as Cameron is that she'd want to be a princess or a fairy for Halloween. But to my surprise, she wanted to be a pirate. In fact she is obsessed with all things pirate. So being the good mom that I am, I ordered her a pirate costume and prayed she wouldn't change her mind a week later. We also took time to take our annual pumpkin pictures.

Look at Me, I'm 3!

Cameron had her third birthday in October. She enjoyed celebrating with her friends in the bounce houses, on the swingset and in her new red Mustang. It is amazing how quickly a year goes by.

Possum Kingdom Lake

We were invited out to Possum Kingdom lake by our friends the McKinney's for a weekend of fun in the sun. We splashed in the water, posed with a hog, and were so exhausted from our adventures that we fell asleep on the boat. It was a BLAST!!!

Lil' Aggie

Cameron is a true Aggie from her head to her oversized toes.

Mimi, Gigi, and Me

There is nothing better than cruising in the golf cart with my Mimi and Gigi!!!!!!

Big Girls

Cameron and Hannah are on their third summer of playdates, sleepovers, and friendship. It amazes me how the time has passed so quickly. In honor of the tradition started that first year, we sat the girls down on the floor in their respective spots and took the annual picture for posterity. Older, wiser, and mostly potty trained now with many adventures ahead of them during their friendship.

OH HAIL!!!!

We had a huge hail storm move through on Friday afternoon. The storm itself lasted only about 10 to 15 minutes but we collected quite a few huge hail stones or snowballs as Cameron called them. The cars on our street parked outside took a good beating. Here are a few of the big ones compared to an apple. WOW!!!!

Easter Eggs

It was a cold Easter this year. Just the day before there were snow flurries falling from the sky. So cold that the Easter bunny had to hide all of the eggs in side so he wouldn't freeze his little "eggs" off. The idea of hunting this year was all about the candy inside the eggs. I guess that is how it will be from now on. She had to take several breaks from the hunting to sample the jellybeans in a few of her found eggs. Then we all hopped off to a packed house at church.

"Egg"citing Sunday

My wonderful principal hosted an Easter egg hunt for all the staff member's kids Sunday at her church. The P.E. coach, Britt, dressed up as the Easter bunny and hopped around like a crazy woman much to the delight of most of the children. There were a few tykes that would rather have been left in the car to roast in the heat than have to sit on the bunny's lap for a picture. However, their parents did manage to get a few priceless shots. Our little Cameron loved the bunny and spent a good bit of her time directing others to go sit with him. The kids found all the eggs and then enjoyed opening them up to find neat little prizes. We topped off the afternoon with a cupcake and were sent on our merry way to deal with our sugar-overdosed kids. Thanks Liz! It was an awesome day!

Party Girl

We were invited to our friend Powell's second birthday party over the weekend. The kids enjoyed the cake and icecream. But, they especially loved beating apart a poor little horse that was hung by its neck. It was a pinata for all of my dear readers that fear we were just letting our children be cruel to defenseless animals.

Safety First

Cameron is a safety girl. On our most recent visit to Cabella's she insisted upon wearing her soon-to-be new life jacket throughout the store. She is such a character. I wonder where she comes up with all the nonsense. Anyway, back to the story. She showed Papa and Memaw all the great fish and had a blast exploring the tent displays. She also did her best impressions of all the animals.

Old Roommates Reunion

My college roommates and I got together for a girls weekend here in DFW. Andrea flew in from Nashville and Courtney from California. We had such a great time catching up and laughing about old memories from our cohabitation days. We did a little shopping, pampering and wine tasting. Then we topped off Saturday night with a trip to Pete's Piano bar where we sang our hearts out. After two days in the hotel, we stopped by our house so the girls could see Cameron and take a ride on the motorcycle w/Eric. I truly treasure both of their friendships. It has been almost 10 years since we lived together, but our time together was just like we'd not been apart. Andrea & Courtney, thanks for a wonderful time. Love you both!!!!!!

Diva Darling!

I know that I don't exude girly girl most days, but from what I've been told I was quite a priss growing up. I guess the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree. Cameron insists on having her sparkle lips (lip gloss) and cowboy boots. She is definitely never without her signature bow on top. The little diva even doesn't like to be disturbed from her morning slumber. Now she tells us, "No Mom, you get out of here" and my favorite "Just shut the door, Dad". I need to remind you all that she is just 2 1/2. I think there may be a sixteen year-old trapped in her body. The following pics are a few of her in her latest diva style.

Christmas 06

As you can see Cameron REALLY loved opening presents this year. Last year it was all about the paper and the boxes. It was a totally different ballgame this time. If you were opening, she was helping. She especially loved the drum set that Uncle Clay gave her. I hope he has tons of kids that will form a rock band in his garage and make "beautiful" music for him to enjoy everyday.
